What are the password parameters?

Passwords must have a minimum of 8 characters.

We recommend creating a strong password using one or more of the following elements:

  • lower-case letter,
  • upper-case letter,
  • number,
  • symbol (!@# $%).

How do I delete a transaction?

Select the Transaction you want to archive by clicking the property address.  Change the property status from Active to Archived by clicking the file box icon to the right of the address.  Select the new transaction status and click Save when done.

How do I reset my password?

Forgot your password? Click here for instructions to reset it.  You will be prompted to enter the email address you used to sign up and receive a link to reset your password.

If you know your password and want to update it after you login, follow these instructions to change your current password:

Login to ShortTrack.  Click your name in the upper right corner and select Profile from the menu.  Click “Change password.”  You will be prompted to enter your new password and confirm it.  Click here to view the article: Change Password.

How do I upload a document?

There are multiple ways to import a document into ShortTrack.

  1. Click  the orange + in the upper right corner.  Then click the Documents icon. (Select Computer or DropBox)
  2. Open a transaction.  Click the Document tab then click the blue +Add Document button. (Select Computer or DropBox)
  3. Email document(s) to the transaction specific email (in the transaction summary header). Click the airplane icon next to the transaction address.
  4. Respond to any ShortTrack generated message or notification with an attachment

Can someone not on my team respond to ShortTrack messages?

Yes!  Sending a message only requires adding the recipient as a contact.  When you send a message to someone using ShortTrack, the recipient simply needs to respond to the message the way they would to any regular email.   ShortTrack will log the message and capture any attachments inside the appropriate transaction.   For more detail:  Email Reply Capture

 

Can I tell if a Task is complete?

Yes! Click the Tasks icon (left side navigation menu) to view all tasks in your account.  The word Complete prints in green beneath the task due date (in the middle column). Likewise, open a transaction and click the Tasks tab to view completed tasks specific to the transaction.

How do I edit Transaction Details?

Open a transaction.  Click the Details tab.  The Transaction Details page has a section for Address, Status, Closing, Contract dates, Property information and more.  Click the pencil icon next to the section name to edit it.

The Details page is visible to any contact on a Transaction Team.
